On January 28th, ILIND held the 4th Edition of the event "Criar Ciência e Fazer Inovação made in Lusofona, which took place at the Lisbon University Center of ULusófona.

Professor Carlos Smaniotto Costa and Professor Nagayamma Aragão, researchers at Lusófona University and coordinators of the RUN | Naturalized Urban Rivers project, have been prominent in the development of solutions and strategies for the naturalization of urban rivers, participating in and committed to supporting scientific initiatives that promote sustainability and innovation.

This project aims to gain a deeper understanding about the relationship between crew members’ mental health, stress, and crew dynamics and performance, during a long-duration isolation and confinement space analog mission. 

The call HU-RIZON international research excellence cooperation program (2024-1.2.3-HU-RIZONT), aims to support international collaboration projects coordinated by Hungarian higher education institutions that seek innovative solutions to relevant and current challenges for the Hungarian and international community, in line with the focus areas of the John von Neumann Program (NJP).

In the 6th edition of the Stimulus to Individual Scientific Employment Competition (CEEC), promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), 5 COFAC researchers were awarded funding for a 6-year researcher contract.

On September 16, the list published by Stanford University and the Elsevier publishing group was released. It lists the top 2% of the world's researchers in two different categories:

  1. The most cited researchers in 2023 in their field of action;
  2. The researchers with the most influential careers to date.

The '“Ugly” fruits and veggies...NOT!' project, coordinated by the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław, Poland, and in which Universidade Lusófona is a partner, has been recognized as an example of Best Practice to follow in research.

On September 13, at 2:00pm, ILIND promoted the training “Research Management: Institutional Rules and Procedures”, which was attended by 15 participants in an online format.

ANTIDOTE, a COPELABS project led by Principal Investigator Marko Beko, has been approved for funding by the Horizon Europe programme under the call HORIZON-MSCA-2023-SE-01.

On September 3, 2024, the 3rd edition of To Create Science and Make Innovation made in Lusófona took place between 2pm and 5pm.
