The editorial board of the International Journal of Film and Media Arts announces the extension of the submission deadline for Vol. 10 No. 3, Dossier 2, developed in collaboration with the European project CRESCINE. The new deadline for submissions is 15 September 2025.

Universidade Lusófona, through its R&D unit Terr.A.ID, is part of the consortium for the ECS – European Citizen Science project, coordinated by ECSA – the European Citizen Science Association and funded by the Horizon Europe programme.
The European Commission has officially published the Horizon Europe Work Programmes for 2025, outlining the EU’s funding priorities for research and innovation in the coming year. These documents define the strategic areas that will receive EU support, with a focus on competitiveness, sustainability, and digital transformation.
C-Accelerate Plus is an EIT HEInitiative aimed at enhancing innovation and entrepreneurial capacity within higher education institutions, especially in the arts and creative sectors. It builds on the foundation of the original C-Accelerate project (2022-2023), focusing on embedding entrepreneurship into the core educational and institutional fabric of universities across Europe.
As part of the internal training series promoted by the university, the session “Citizen Science in Research and Innovation” took place on 14 May 2025.

This event is aimed at PhD students and PhD graduates, providing an informal evening to share ideas and celebrate the academic journey with ice cream and good conversation!

The Foundation for Science and Technology has just released the provisional results of the evaluation of R&D Units (UID) under the 2023/2024 Multiannual Funding Programme for Research Units. The evaluation focused on the scientific and technological activities carried out by national R&D Units between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2023 and on the objectives, strategy, activity plan and organisation for the period 2025 to 2029.
COFAC - Cooperativa de Formação e Animação Cultural, the promoting organisation of Universidade Lusófona, invites all PhD students from the partner institutions of the FilmEU consortium to apply for the new edition of DOCTUS: Pathways of Contemporary Research, part of the European project WIRE by FilmEU. The next session will take place between 14 and 16 May 2025 at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU), Slovakia.
