The Lusophone Institute for Research and Development (ILIND) took part in the welcoming and integration session for new lecturers and researchers at Lusófona University.

The Francisco Suárez Center for Advanced Studies in Law (CEAD), Lusófona University's Research and Development Unit, has achieved an FCT-Tenure position.

On August 2nd, 2024, Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) released the results of the 2023 Call for Exploratory Projects in All Scientific Domains. Four Lusófona University projects were approved for funding, from three UI&Ds (CBIOS, CICANT and HEI-Lab).

The Faculty of Law of Lusófona University, Centro Universitário de Lisboa, will receive financial support from the Erasmus+ program for the management of a Jean Monnet Module. The research project, called "Data. PT", aims to promote the study of data regulation and the European Union's public policies in this area.

On August 1st, 2024, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) released the provisional results of the 2024 Call of Studentships PhD Research Grants. Fifteen grants were awarded to ULusófona students to carry out their PhDs at CICANT, the Civil Research Group, HEI-Lab and I-MVET, the University's UI&Ds.

The project ‘The coordination of team boundaries as a process promoting sustainable innovation in Antarctica’ has been accepted into the Portuguese Polar Programme.

The project on the detection of abuse, in which Universidade Lusófona participates, has received funding from Horizon Europe.

On July 15, ILIND's Executive Director, Ana Cunha, attended the Coordination Meeting with Third Partners Countries, organized by the Deep Technology Laboratory (DeepTechLab) of Lusófona University.

Lusófona University submitted 12 projects to the Erasmus Mundus program, of which 1 Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree (EMJM) and 3 Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) were approved. In addition, RESOUND-EMDM was placed on the reserve list.
