Training "Data Management Plan"

On March 8th, 2024, ILIND (Lusophone Institute for Research and Development) promoted the training "Data Management Plan", which had 73 participants in hybrid format.

The event was given by Filipa Pereira, Data and Research Manager at the National Scientific Computing Unit of the FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology).

This session covered different topics, such as "Open Science and Open Research Data", "Research Data Management", and the main requirements of funders. The session also included a demonstration of ARGOS, a tool recently translated into Portuguese that promises to facilitate the creation of a Data Management Plan.

A Data Management Plan, or DMP, is a formal document that determines the life cycle of data generated or collected in a research context. The plan distinguishes different ways of creating and documenting data, as well as who will have access and how this data can be reused or preserved. In this way, the DMP covers various aspects of a research project, from its inception to its processing and completion.
