CECAM Organizes a Series of Online Discussions on the Challenges of Pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education

As part of the CECAM (Center of Excellence in Film and Media Arts) project, coordinated by Professor Manuel José Damásio, the “Peer Forum” series will take place from June 15 to 19, 2026.

This online initiative aims to promote the sharing of experiences, debate, and collective reflection on the concrete challenges of pedagogical practices in higher education.

As part of the activities developed by CECAM’s Curricula division - funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the European Union (NextGenerationEU) - the forum is based on the concept of peer learning. The event is open to faculty members and faculty researchers from different disciplinary areas and institutions, aiming to build, in a multidisciplinary manner, a compendium of common challenges and practical strategies.

Spotlight on Faculty Researchers

Although the series addresses a variety of cross-cutting themes, the closing session - scheduled for June 19 at 12:00 p.m.- stands out for its relevance, with the theme “Teaching, research, and society: how to bring them together?” This discussion takes a close look at the reality of researchers who also teach, exploring the integration and impact of scientific knowledge in the classroom and in the community.
