Lusófona University Joins the CONRIS Governing Board

Lusófona University has joined the new governing board of CONRIS - the Cooperation Network for Risk, Safety & Security Studies, one of Europe's leading networks dedicated to risk management, civil protection, safety and security, and resilience.

The decision was made during the CONRIS Annual Meeting, held this week at ISEN University in Cartagena, Spain, where members approved a new governance structure for the network. The previous Chair model has been replaced by a Small Board comprising three members. Lusófona University will be represented on the board by Professor André Rodrigues from the Department of Civil Protection.

This appointment is an important recognition of the work carried out by Lusófona University within CONRIS and further strengthens the University's growing international profile. It is particularly significant that this appointment comes only around three and a half years after the University joined the network and just over a year after becoming a full member.

Lusófona University's participation in the CONRIS governing board reinforces the institution's commitment to internationalisation, research, innovation, and European cooperation in the fields of Civil Protection, Risk Management, and Safety and Security.
