PhD student at Lusófona University conducts research on 6G and advanced logistics in partnership with the University of Memphis and the FedEx Institute of Technology
Lusófona University reinforces its scientific internationalisation strategy through the mobility of PhD student Gilson da Silva Ferreira, from the PhD programme in Computer Science, supervised by Professor Rui Ribeiro.
As part of his doctoral studies, the researcher is conducting part of his research in the United States, in collaboration with the University of Memphis and the FedEx Institute of Technology (FIT), an internationally renowned institution in the field of technological innovation applied to logistics and global supply chains.
The research focuses on studying the impact of 6G networks in the context of Industry 5.0, with a particular focus on the evolution of intelligent, autonomous and data-driven logistics systems, integrating technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as advanced models of digital governance and risk assessment.
