On September 16, the list published by Stanford University and the Elsevier publishing group was released. It lists the top 2% of the world's researchers in two different categories:

  1. The most cited researchers in 2023 in their field of action;
  2. The researchers with the most influential careers to date.

The 8 researchers, their respective UI&D's and research areas, from Universidade Lusófona most cited in 2023 are, by citation number:
