Lusófona University is pleased to announce its integration as member of EIT Manufacturing, one of the leading Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). This strategic partnership places Lusófona at the heart of the digital and sustainable transformation of European industry, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, education, and entrepreneurship.
EIT Manufacturing brings together more than 50 organizations from 17 European countries, including leading companies, universities, and research centers, with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of the European manufacturing sector through collaborative innovation ecosystems. In Portugal, key core partners include INESC TEC and SONAE.
Universidade Lusófona's participation, through researchers from the RCM2+ research center (Faculty of Engineering), will enable the development of innovative projects, advanced training programmes, and initiatives to support companies and innovative start-ups. These activities are fully aligned with EIT Manufacturing’s strategic objectives, such as the full digitalization of production and environmental and social sustainability.
This involvement strengthens Lusófona’s role as an active agent in promoting innovation and industrial competitiveness, contributing to the training of highly qualified professionals and the creation of high-value technological solutions.
