Lusófona University Hosts International CitySenZ Event at the NEB Festival 2026

Universidade Lusófona will host the international event CitySenZ – Sensing European Cities for the New European Bauhaus on 12 June 2026, as part of the New European Bauhaus Festival satellite programme taking place in Portugal and Brussels.

Organised within the framework of COST Action CA23145, CitySenZ is presented as a living laboratory dedicated to rethinking European cities through their sensory, social, and environmental dimensions. The initiative explores new ways of understanding urban spaces through citizens’ everyday experiences, in line with the core values of the New European Bauhaus: sustainability, inclusiveness, and aesthetics.

The programme features a 12-minute short film illustrating how sound, light, urban microclimates, and everyday practices can help interpret and transform contemporary urban environments. The screening will be followed by a hybrid participatory discussion connecting researchers, practitioners, and citizens in an open dialogue about the future of European cities.

The event will take place onsite at Lusófona University and will also be streamed online for audiences worldwide.
