ULusófona Researchers Featured in the Global Top 2% of Stanford University Scientist Ranking

Lusófona University has once again stood out on the international stage, with two of its researchers – Professor Joel José Puga Coelho Rodrigues and Professor Rui Cunha Marques – being included in the prestigious list of the world’s top 2% most influential scientists, compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier.

This distinction comes as part of the latest update to the ranking, which now includes the K-index – a new metric that corrects for career-length bias, allowing for a fairer assessment of scientific impact.

Professors Joel Rodrigues, Full Professor, and Rui Cunha Marques, from the RCM2+ Research Unit, were recognised among the 100 most influential Portuguese researchers, in a list that evaluates thousands of researchers worldwide.

This international recognition further strengthens Lusófona University's position as a leading institution in the production of innovative knowledge, making a significant contribution to the advancement of science and technology on a global scale.
