The event “How to Protect Democracy? Fact-checking, accountability, and participation” will take place on February 20th, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
This initiative is co-organized by the projects MeDeMAP – Mapping media for future democracies (HE 101094984) and Checking the fact-checkers – aPEaSE (2023.12581.PEX).
The meeting will bring together experts, researchers, and interested members of the public to discuss the role of fact-checking, accountability, and citizen participation in defending contemporary democracies. The event will be held in person at the university and will also be streamed online via the UTAD TV YouTube channel.
