On the 6th of May, at 2.30pm, ILIND attended the Presentation Meeting of the Design Research Group - Design ID, which was attended by 15 participants in person and 6 participants online.
ILIND's Executive Director, Professor Ana Cunha, began the meeting with a brief explanation of the origins of the research group. Professor Alexandra Cruchinho, coordinator of Design ID, presented the research center and its objectives, as well as introducing the members of the research group.
Design ID is a recently created research centre that is organised into three thematic design groups: Strategic Design, Communication/Interaction Design and Fashion/Textile Design.
These areas are interconnected in an interdisciplinary way and aim to respond to issues such as: sustainability, inclusion, cultural heritage, digital technologies, identity, media art, among others.
The research centre includes researchers from various areas of expertise in design, visual arts, photography, art history and museology.
