COMPETE 2030 STEP Calls with over €1.1 billion open between January and April
COMPETE 2030 has launched several STEP calls running between January and April, with a total budget exceeding €1.1 billion, aimed at supporting strategic business projects in the Energy, Digital, and Biotechnology sectors.
In the Energy domain, the following calls are available:
- STEP – Productive Innovation (Energy) , with a budget of €400 million, supporting innovative productive investments.
- STEP – Business R&D&I (Energy) , with €115 million, focused on strengthening research, development, and innovation activities within companies.
For the Digital and Biotechnology sectors, the open calls include:
- STEP – Productive Innovation (Digital and Biotechnology) , with a budget of €401 million.
- STEP – Business R&D&I (Digital and Biotechnology) , amounting to €210 million, supporting research and innovation projects with market impact.
These calls are part of the STEP – Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform, an EU initiative designed to enhance competitiveness, strengthen strategic autonomy, and boost Europe’s industrial capacity in critical technologies, while fostering sustainable growth and business innovation.
