COFAC and CascataChuva are driving innovation in electricity generation from moisture in the air

COFAC, through ULusófona, works closely with CascataChuva on the development of high-impact research and innovation projects. One such project is CATCHER – Creation of innovative ‘humidity to electricity’ renewable energy conversion technology towards sustainable energy challenges, a project funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC Pathfinder).

The main objective of CATCHER is to develop innovative technology capable of directly converting atmospheric moisture into electricity, thereby contributing to the creation of a new source of renewable energy. This approach aims to harness a resource that is widely available in the environment, paving the way for more sustainable and efficient energy solutions.
