3rd Edition of To Create Science and Make Innovation made in Lusófona

On September 3, 2024, the 3rd edition of To Create Science and Make Innovation made in Lusófona took place between 2pm and 5pm.

To Create Science and Make Innovation made in Lusófona is a biannual event that aims to showcase the research work of the different Organic Units and their respective Research and Development Units, as well as presenting the research support services that make up Lusófona University. In this sense, the event aimed to promote a dynamic of aggregation and leverage of the value created by the Units as a whole.

The event took place at the José Araújo Auditorium (Victor de Sá Library Building), Lusófona University, and was attended by 240 participants in person and online. The opening ceremony was held by ILIND's Executive Director, Professor Ana Cunha.

In the first part of the session, 5 PhD projects were presented in a Flash Presentation format, in which the PhD students had between 3 and 5 minutes to present their thesis. These students represented the Units CBIOS, CICANT, CEAD, CeiED and HEI-Lab.

With the aim of publicizing the work of the Units and their external funding in order to promote a dynamic of aggregation and boost synergies, the event also included project presentations:

The afternoon ended with the unveiling of the PURE platform, the Research Information Management tool subscribed to by the University, followed by a short Q&A session.
