FCT Awards 13 Doctoral Scholarships to Students and Researchers at ULusófona
The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) has announced the results of the 2026 Call for Applications for Doctoral Research Grants, covering both the General Application Track and the Non-Academic Environment Track.
Following the 54 applications submitted by ULusófona earlier this year, 13 students and researchers were recommended for funding; their projects will be carried out within the institution’s scientific and academic ecosystem.
The selected scholarship recipients will be placed in various UI&Ds at ULusófona:
-
HEI-Lab will host 6 doctoral students;
-
CICANT will host 4 doctoral students;
-
CBIOS and CeiED will each host one doctoral student.
Also noteworthy is the collaboration and joint hosting with leading national and international institutions, such as Maastricht University, the University of Alcalá, the Social Security Institute, and the National Museum of Music.
These results underscore ULusófona’s sustained growth and dynamism in attracting highly competitive funding, supporting the advanced training of new researchers and consolidating the excellence of the work carried out in its Research Units.
